Project

Gold Coast City Council (GCCC) Investigated extending the Gold Coast Light Rapid Transit (GC LRT) to the south, with the next stage being from Broadbeach (End of Stage 1) to Burleigh Heads (Stage 3a). The GC LRT Line is expected to eventually extend further south to the Gold Coast Airport to form Stage 3b of the overarching project.

LUTI’s Role

LUTI Consulting were engaged to undertake the following assessments for the GC LRT Stage 3a project’s Preliminary and Detailed Business Cases (PBC and DBC):
• Integrated Transport and Land Use Planning (Lead Consultant)
• Urban Renewal Economics (Lead Consultant)
• Wider Economic Benefit Analysis (as part of the PwC project team)
• Value Creation and Sharing Analysis (as part of the PwC project team)

LUTI Consulting’s reporting to GCCC was included in the project’s FBC that was submitted to the State and Infrastructure Australia for consideration with respect to the investment in the project, which was approved in November 2019.

LUTI Consulting in partnership with Price Waterhouse Coopers prepared a series of reports to input into the Strategic Business Case for the GCRT Stage 3a.
